If you've ever bought a new computer with the operating system already installed, you might be annoyed by the default name of the computer when you start trying to connect different computers together. Changing this in XP was simple, but in Windows 7 it's buried behind a few more menus.
To change your computer's name, click on 'Search the web and Windows' and type in 'sysdm.cpl'. On the Computer Name tab, click on the 'Change' button then enter your new name into the 'Computer Name' text area. Finally, click 'OK' to save your changes.
